Virginia This office was originally opened by Ben Marchi, who is now the director of Americans for Prosperity in Virginia. Ran numerous winning political campaigns in Virginia from 1988 to present, and John oversaw corporate efforts while at Richmond-based McGuireWoods for five years. John won two Virginia Republican conventions for candidates, and Concentric continued its winning streak in 2008: many predicted that 32 year-old Jeff Frederick would not even get 30 percent of the vote against the former Lieutenant Governor and incumbent chair. No incumbent had lost since 1971. However, Frederick won 8 of 11 Congressional Districts and 59 percent of the vote. John’s first political assignment was putting together a joint press conference for State Delegate George Allen and Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Gilmore in 1989 – continuing to work for both of the future Governors (elected in 1993 and 1997 respectively).
